Accuray’s Radiation Imaging Device Gets CE Mark

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Accuray’s ClearRT radiation imaging system has received CE mark certification in Europe for use with the company’s Radixact computed tomography equipment.

The imaging device is designed to provide greater precision and accuracy in the treatment of indications that benefit from radiation therapy, the company said.

The ClearRT technology, which previously earned 510(k) clearance from the FDA, is now available in the EU, U.S., Japan and other parts of the world where the CE mark or FDA 510(k) clearance are recognized.
