LumiraDx Starts Marketing COVID-19 Test Following CE Mark Approval

LumiraDx has begun marketing its COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 Ag Pool test in Europe after receiving a CE mark certification.

The antigen test, which runs on the company’s portable LumiraDx platform, can process up to five nasal or nasopharyngeal swab specimens from different individuals at once to identify the presence of the virus.

Pooled testing is an efficient method for screening multiple samples. The Ag Pool test, which delivers results in 12 minutes, is intended for COVID-19 screening programs in settings such as entertainment events, workplaces and schools.
