Qiagen’s NeuMoDx Test for Human Adenovirus Gets CE Mark

Qiagen’s NeuMoDx HAdV Quant Assay, a test for human adenovirus (HAdV) DNA, has earned the CE mark.

The assay uses Qiagen’s automated NeuMoDx system, which extracts DNA from blood or urine to isolate the target nucleic acids and then conduct a real-time polymerase chain-reaction test to detect the adenovirus.

HAdV infections, which can cause severe respiratory and other diseases in patients with weakened immune systems. are common in organ transplant patients.
