BD Issuing Update for Recalled Infusion Pump Software

Becton Dickinson (BD) said it will provide customers a new version of the software for its recalled BD Alaris infusion pump.

In its Feb. 4, 2020, recall, the company notified customers that the infusion pump may not operate as expected due to software errors in several functions, including the programming of delay options, the low battery alarm, the keep vein open/end of infusion alarm and infusion concentrations.

BD said it is now fixing these errors with the release of Alaris System software version 12.1.2 and associated ancillary software.
