CoapTech’s Ultrasound Gastrostomy System Gains CE Mark

CoapTech has received a CE mark for its PUMA-G System, an ultrasound gastrostomy “procedural kit” that allows physicians to place gastrostomy tubes at the point of care using only ultrasound imaging.

The system features minimally invasive components that make it possible to use ultrasound for procedures in hollow organs of the body where previously it was impossible or unsafe to do so, the Baltimore, Md.-based company said.

The PUMA-G System previously earned 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA.
