FDA Clearance for Caretaker Medical’s VitalStream Blood Monitoring Platform

Caretaker Medical has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its VitalStream wireless blood pressure and hemodynamic monitoring platform.

VitalStream was designed to eliminate monitoring gaps due to spot-check hemodynamic and vital sign measurements, according to the Charlottesville, Va.-based company.

The VitalStream monitor, which uses a low-pressure finger sensor, measures blood pressure and hemodynamic parameters with every heartbeat, without limiting the patient’s mobility, the company said.
