Venus Concept Gets 510(k) Clearance for Its Pain Treatment Device

Venus Concept has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its Venus Freedom radiofrequency pain-treating device.

The noninvasive device, which delivers nonthermal radiofrequency energy combined with massage and magnetic field pulses, is intended to treat minor muscle aches and pain, relieve muscle spasms and temporarily improve local blood circulation.

The Toronto, Canada-based company said it plans to launch Venus Freedom in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2022.
