Trice Medical Gets FDA’s 510(k) Clearance for Its Needle Arthroscope

Malvern, Pa.-based Trice Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its 25-degree mi-eye 3 needlescope for arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures.

The single-use handheld device, which is used with the company’s high-resolution mi-tablet 3 for minimally invasive surgeries and diagnostic use, features image horizon leveling technology.

The angled camera allows physicians to expand the field of view and see 16 times more detail vs. a 0-degreee camera, the company said.
