CE Mark for Scope Fluidics’ BacterOMIC system for Identifying Antibiotic Resistance

Scope Fluidics has received CE mark certification for its BacterOMIC system for identifying antibiotic resistance.

With a single test, the system can identify the effectiveness of 20 antibiotics used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, blood, urinary tract or skin caused by enterobacterales, pseudomonas, acinetobacter or staphylococcus bacteria.

In tests in clinical centers, the system achieved more than 90 percent accuracy in a drug susceptibility assessment of 20 antibiotics, the company said.
