J&J Unveils New Executive Committee Before Company Split

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has appointed new members to its executive committee ahead of splitting its pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter consumer products businesses within the next two years.

J&J has named Bill Hait, currently global head of external innovation, as executive vice president, chief external innovation, medical safety and global public officer.

He will support Joaquin Duato, the company’s current vice chairman, who is set to take the reins as CEO from Alex Gorsky after the new year.

In addition, Mathai Mammen will take on the role of executive vice president of pharmaceuticals research and development. He currently serves as the global head of research and development of J&J’s Janssen subsidiary.
