CTL Amedica’s Navigation Instrument System Cleared

CTL Amedica has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its CTL Amedica navigation instrument system.

The system includes manual surgical instruments that can be used with third-party navigation systems to help surgeons precisely locate anatomical structures for preparation and placement of pedicle screws.

The CTL instrument kit features aluminum and stainless-steel drivers, taps, awls, probes and drills. The system can be used in either open, minimally invasive or percutaneous procedures, the Addison, Texas-based company said.
