Lightweight Neonatal Incubator Gets CE Mark

A lightweight neonatal incubator from Cambridge, U.K.-based mOm Incubators has received CE mark certification.

Invented by mOm founder and CEO James Roberts and developed in collaboration with eg technology, the mOm Essential Incubator is intended for use in a variety of settings and is able to run off multiple power sources.

The incubator will be used first by the UK’s National Health Service in a pilot program to help maintain the core temperature of babies being moved around hospital sites.

The companies are working with outside partners to introduce the incubator in other countries.
