Casio Dermatology Camera and Scope Win CE Marks

Japan-based Casio Computer’s DZ-D100 dermatology camera and DZ-S50 dermatology scope have won CE marks for conformity with the EU’s Medical Device Regulation.

The DZ-D100 camera enables both standard and close-up photography of affected areas of skin. Along with its accompanying DZ Image Viewer software, it has been marketed in Japan since May 2019.

The DZ-S50 is a lightweight dermatology scope for observation of large areas of skin. It has been marketed in Japan since March 2020.

The company is planning to launch the devices in Europe in August through its national subsidiaries.
