Okami Medical’s LOBO-7 and LOBO-9 Vascular Occluders Cleared

Okami Medical has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its LOBO-7 and LOBO-9 Vascular Occluders.

These are the latest in the company's LOBO vascular occlusion system product line. LOBO stands for LOw-profile Braided Occluder.

The occluders feature a highly occlusive braided structure that rapidly reduces flow and enables single-device occlusions of blood vessels. The LOBO-7 and LOBO-9 devices are intended for use in 5 to 7 mm and 7 to 9 mm diameter vessels, respectively.

Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Okami Medical specializes in developing peripheral vascular intervention devices.
