Spindiag Gains CE-IVD Marks for Two Rapid PCR Tests

Germany-based Spindiag has received CE-IVD marks for two of its new Rhonda rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for use at the point of care.

The company’s Rhonda Respi test, which uses a single swab sample and delivers results within an hour, can differentiate between infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Influenza A/B and respiratory syncytial virus, helping healthcare providers to offer targeted treatments.

Spindiag also received a CE-IVD certification for its test for the bacteria, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which causes hard-to-treat infections in humans.
