AeroClean Granted FDA Clearance for Its Pūrgo Medical-Grade Air Hygiene Tech

AeroClean Technologies has received FDA’s clearance for its Pūrgo technology, which the agency has classified as a Class II medical device.

The device contains germicidal air purification technology that has been proven to eliminate 99.99 percent of harmful airborne microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi and viruses, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19, AeroClean said.  

The patented technology delivers hospital-grade HEPA filtration and germicidal ultraviolet irradiation to provide supplemental, localized air cleaning and enhanced ventilation.

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based AeroClean provides healthcare facilities, businesses, hospitality venues and government agencies with medical-grade air purification and air sanitization technology.
