Enovis Expands Ortopedics Portfolio with Insight Purchase

Enovis has acquired Insight Medical Systems, developer of the ARVIS augmented reality orthopedic surgical guidance tool.

Insight’s flagship product, ARVIS is the only FDA-cleared augmented reality device engineered for the specific needs of hip and knee replacement surgery, the companies said.

The ARVIS system “represents the next era of orthopedic technology, and we look forward to expanding its features and reach while integrating additional joint replacement surgery capabilities in the future,” said Brady Shirley, chief operating officer at Enovis.

ARVIS, which received 501(k) clearance in 2021, will be made commercially available in the U.S. in the third quarter of this year. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
