BioCircuit’s Nerve Tape Device Gets 510(k) Clearance

BioCircuit Technologies has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its Nerve Tape for sutureless surgical repair of severed nerves.

The biologic wrap features integrated microhooks that bind to outer connective tissues and a bioresorbable wrap designed to promote regeneration.

The company developed the nerve repair tape in partnership with the orthopedic microsurgery laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Atlanta, Ga.-based BioCircuit anticipates that the product will be available in 2023. The company is focused on tissue repair neuromodulation.
