Gilead Reaches Settlement Barring Medical Center From Its HIV Assistance Programs

Gilead Sciences has entered into a settlement with a Florida health center and several individuals barring them from involvement in the company’s patient assistance programs for its HIV medicines.

The company, which has previously settled with other medical centers in the state, accused the defendants of participating in an illegal scheme to obtain and resell the HIV drugs.

Under the settlement, the defendants are barred from seeking or accepting reimbursement for any Gilead medication dispensed to individuals enrolled in the programs.
