OptraSCAN’s OS-Ultra Scanners Receive CE-IVDR Mark

August 1, 2022

San Jose, Calif.-headquartered OptraSCAN has received a CE-IVDR mark for its OS-Ultra scanner.

The digital pathology device scans tissues and cells in less than 60 seconds and delivers high-resolution images that can be analyzed with the company’s artificial intelligence-based software.

The scanner, which includes a tray and basket system designed to prevent slide handling errors, can deliver compositive images from multiple scans.

OptraSCAN is focused on developing digital pathology devices as an alternative to conventional microscopy.
