Caption Health and Heartbeat Health to Combine Technologies in Partnership Deal

Caption Health is linking up with Heartbeat Health to combine its heart ultrasound technology with Heartbeat’s telemedicine capabilities.

Caption’s artificial intelligence-based platform will allow heart ultrasounds to be conducted in convenient locations, including patients’ homes. Heartbeat Health’s virtual cardiologists will then interpret the ultrasounds remotely and discuss findings with primary care teams.

The partnership builds on an early stage collaboration between the two companies to find heart failure among patients in at-risk populations where access to echocardiograms is limited.

In 2021, Caption Health’s Caption AI was recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Best Inventions.

The financial terms of the partnership deal were not disclosed.
