Think Surgical and Curexo Ink Development and Distribution Deal

Fremont, Calif.-based Think Surgical and Curexo have inked a development and distribution deal for the South Korean company’s CUVIS-Joint orthopedic surgical robot platform.

Think Surgical, which specializes in robotics for orthopedic surgery, has gained distribution rights in the U.S. and other countries.

Think Surgical will be seeking FDA 510(k) clearance for the platform. The two companies also plan to seek regulatory clearance in other countries for the robotic tool.

The new distribution deal builds on an existing agreement in which Curexo distributes Think Surgical 's TSolution One platform in Korea and Vietnam.  

The financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
