WeTrade Group and Jiqing Bio Partner Over Monkeypox Tests

Beijing-based e-commerce company WeTrade is teaming up with Jiqing Biomedical Technology, a Chinese company that focuses on in vitro diagnostics, to develop monkeypox tests.

WeTrade will gain exclusive rights to sell Jiqing’s antigen and nucleic acid tests for detecting the monkeypox virus.

The companies said they will make the tests available worldwide as soon as possible “to help prevent and control the virus, and to reduce the harm for the public worldwide.”

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
