Samsung Teams with EchoNous Over AI-Guided Ultrasound Software

August 23, 2022

Samsung has inked a collaboration deal with EchoNous, gaining access to that company’s artificial intelligence-guided ultrasound technology called Kosmos.

Kosmos is a handheld ultrasound wand device that uses artificial intelligence-based software to assess metrics on the heart, lungs and abdomen. The software, which is already used on the EchoNous’ Kosmos Bridge tablet, will now also be available for use on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active Pro tablets, models 12.0 and higher.

Making the software available on the Samsung tablets will give doctors another option for reading the data, the companies said.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
