Caregility and Eko Team Up for Live-Streaming Stethoscopes

Two telehealth companies, Caregility and Eko, have agreed to combine their technologies to enable live-streaming of stethoscope information.

The partners will be integrating Eko’s Connect telehealth application with Caregility’s Cloud platform, allowing for the live-streaming of stethoscope sounds with real-time phonocardiogram and electrocardiogram images.

The collaboration addresses a key component missing from most virtual exams — the ability for care teams to assess a patient's body sounds in real-time. The combined technologies “will have a meaningful impact on our hybrid care delivery models," the companies said.

The financial terms of the integration deal were not disclosed.
