Onduo and Sword Health Pair Up to Combine Technologies

Verily’s Onduo subsidiary, which specializes in virtual healthcare, is teaming up with Sword Health for use of its motion sensor technology.

Onduo’s service includes a coaching app, condition-specific monitoring devices and, if needed, a clinician, while Sword Health uses motion sensors, a Sword tablet and a “digital therapist” to guide movement, correct form and collect real-time feedback as users exercise.

The partners aim to provide virtual care for patients with type 2 diabetes, hypertension and mental health, as well as for musculoskeletal pain.

The financial terms of the collaboration agreement were not disclosed.
