Medtronic Inks Distribution Deal for BioIntelliSense’s Wearable Devices

Medtronic is partnering with Golden, Colo.-based BioIntelliSense and gaining U.S. distribution rights to the company’s BioButton continuous remote monitoring devices.

The wearable devices monitor multiple vital signs including skin temperature, resting heart rate, respiratory rate at rest, gait analysis and body position, giving clinicians access to patient trends and alerts to enable remote care.

The deal gives Medtronic exclusive distribution rights of the device for use in U.S. hospitals and during the 30-day post-acute hospital to home period.

The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
