Precisis’ Easee Gets CE Mark

September 27, 2022

Germany-headquartered Precisis has received CE certification for its Easee brain pacemaker for treatment of seizures.

Easee is an acronym for Epicranial Application of Stimulation Electrodes for Epilepsy. The system includes electrodes that are placed under the scalp to deliver electric pulses to the location in the brain where epileptic seizures originate.

The electrodes, which are not visible from the outside, allow for unrestricted patient movement. And the minimally invasive pacemaker system does not require opening the cranial bone.

The Easee device has also received a Breakthrough Device designation from the FDA.
