Sensoria Health and Defender’s Smart Diabetic Foot Now Available

Sensoria Health and Defender have released what they call “the first smart diabetic footwear” designed to help heal diabetic foot ulcers and reduce the risk of amputations.

The smart footwear combines the Foot Defender boot with Sensoria’s Core microelectronics, patient mobile app and a clinician dashboard.

The system monitors healing of the patient’s diabetic foot ulcer and compliance with the rehabilitation protocol.

The Food Defender features an abrasion resistant outsole that alleviates contact pressure across the foot by up to 50 percent as compared to other protective boots, according to the companies.
