Eli Lilly Enters Small Molecule Collaboration with Schrödinger

Eli Lilly and Schrödinger have inked a collaboration deal for discovery and development of small molecule compounds. The companies did not announce the exact drug target.

Schrödinger, which evaluates billions of molecules per week and synthesizes around 1,000 compounds per year, will identify the compounds and Lilly will be responsible for the development and commercialization.

Under the deal, Schrödinger will receive an undisclosed upfront payment from Lilly and will be eligible to receive up to $425 million in discovery, development and commercial milestone payments.
