Zimmer Biomet’s Persona OsseoTi Keel Tibia Cleared as Knee Replacement Option

The FDA has cleared Zimmer Biomet’s Persona OsseoTi Keel Tibia as a cementless option for knee replacement.

The company uses 3D printed technology to produce a structure that mimics the architecture of cancellous (spongey) bone found at the end of long bones, such as the femur. The system also builds an anatomic tibia implant designed for optimal bone coverage.

Zimmer Biomet expects the Persona OsseoTi Keel Tibia to be particularly useful in cases involving arthritis, a condition that affects the joints and can lead to the need for knee replacement.
