NeuroLogica’s Mobile Scanner Gets 501(k) Clearance

The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance to Samsung Electronics subsidiary NeuroLogica’s BodyTom 64 point-of-care mobile computed tomography (CT) scanner for adult and pediatric imaging.

An updated version of the company’s BodyTom Elite CT scanner, the BodyTom 64 can produce up to 64 images per rotation while the previous version can only produce up to 32 images.

The mobile scanner, which generates high-resolution images, can be used at a patient’s bedside as well as in treatment areas including operating rooms, interventional radiology, and emergency departments.
