Pikdare’s DropSafe Sicura Safety Needle Cleared

The FDA has granted clearance to MTD Group affiliate Pikdare’s DropSafe Sicura passive safety needle for intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.

The device’s needle is covered by a transparent shield that automatically locks after injection, preventing needlestick injuries. More than two million needlestick injuries occur every year, MTD Group said.

Italy-based Pikdare is also seeking a European CE mark certification.

MTD was founded in 2018, when Pikdare and HTL-Strefa joined forces.
