Roche and Janssen to Expand Collaboration on Companion Diagnostics

Roche has expanded its collaboration with Janssen Biotech to include a wide-range of companion diagnostics, including digital pathology, next generation sequencing, polymerase chain reaction and immunoassays, tissue and blood-based biomarkers, sequencing and digital pathology.

The expanded agreement also includes potential collaboration in the field of precision medicine including immunohistochemistry (IHC) tests to identify patients with specific disease markers.

Roche said its aim in the IHC collaboration is to “advance personalized healthcare by developing tests that make more targeted therapies available to the patients who need them."
