Tyber Medical Anatomical Plating System Gains Expanded Clearance

Tyber Medical received an expanded 510(k) clearance from the FDA for 391 additional plate configurations for its anatomical plating system including 100 new plates for foot, ankle, hand and wrist indications.

The plating system, which also received clearance for use in magnetic resonance imaging under certain conditions, is indicated to treat a range of deformity, trauma and degenerative conditions of the wrist, foot, ankle and long bones.

The expanded clearance includes new plate sizes, instrumentation and configurations for short bones, long bones and ankle fracture/fusion.

The anatomical plating system first received 510(k) clearance in 2020.
