European Manufacturing Company Offers Free Guide to Medical Device Manufacturing

Escatec, an integrated electronics manufacturing company, has published a guide to developing, testing and manufacturing medical devices while remaining compliant with the various regulatory requirements around the world and bringing products to market quickly.

The company, with production facilities in the UK, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Malaysia, said they wrote the guide, A Seamless Transition from Medical Device Design Through to Manufacturing, to ensure safety and reduce product recalls, citing more than 2,000 FDA product recalls in 2021 “affecting millions of units and costing manufacturers significant sums.”

As the pace of discoveries in medical devices keeps accelerating, “to remain competitive, companies need to move fast to capitalize on them,” Escatec said, “but they also need to ensure their approach to compliance is robust and bulletproof. Right now, though, there are not many companies that can achieve this on their own.”
