ClinicalTrials.Gov Website Update Goes Live

Following multiple years of development, the streamlined version of the ClinicalTrials.gov website officially launched Wednesday, providing users with a revised, simplified layout.

The new website, which has been guided by user feedback, “includes an updated look and feel that improves functionality for searching, viewing and downloading information about clinical trials,” the National Library of Medicine, which runs the website, said in a brief announcement.

The redone interface “includes simple web components that improve navigation and make important information easier to find,” optimization for mobile devices and plain language to make content more easily understandable.

For now, users will be able to switch between the new and “classic” versions of the website. The classic version of the website will be retired sometime in 2024.
