Device Innovations Measure Cardiac Ablation Success, Sterilize Surgical Aids In-Hospital

CathVision, based in Denmark, has received clearance for its AI algorithm that facilitates electrogram interpretation in complex atrial arrhythmia procedures. The system uses proprietary electrophysiology recording technology and hardware amplifier to acquire high-fidelity, low-noise cardiac electrogram data to measure the success of cardiac ablation.

In another innovation, the FDA has cleared the first sterilization system for 3D-printed medical devices to be used in healthcare facilities.

The V-PRO maX 2 Low Temperature Sterilization System has a specialty cycle that can sterilize patient-specific surgical guides and 3D printed anatomical models intended for use during surgery.
