NEKTAR CLOSING UK SITE

Nektar Therapeutics said Wednesday it closed its 35-worker site in Bradford, England. The San Carlos company wrote off part of the value of the plant as part of its 2005 net loss. Nektar shut the plant June 30, and only a small transition staff remains.
