VERALIGHT GETS $17.5 MILLION IN NEW VC FUNDING

VeraLight has received $17.5 million in new venture capital. The funding marks the second round of investments in the Albuquerque-based biotech start-up, which is developing a diabetes-testing device that draws no blood and offers results in 60 seconds. VeraLight got $5 million in an A-Series round of seed funding in September 2005.
