ROCHE FILES AVASTIN IN EUROPEAN UNION FOR LUNG CANCER

Swiss drugmaker Roche Holding AG said Tuesday it has filed its top-selling drug Avastin to Europe's medical regulator, for approval for use as a treatment for the most common form of lung cancer. After colorectal and breast cancer, lung cancer is the third type of disease in which Avastin has demonstrated an ability to extend patient's lives, Roche said.
