The American Heart Association (AHA) has changed the method rescuers will use to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and deploy automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Changes made to the rules of CPR by the American Heart Association will profoundly affect the way CPR is performed. This rule change is called "Guidelines 2005" by the AHA.
