Biomet to Launch New Bone Cement Product

Biomet, a maker of products for orthopedic surgery and joint repair, said that it plans to broaden the range of its bone cement offerings with the introduction of a product for use in minimally invasive surgery. Bone cement is an injectable, quick-setting paste that is used to attach joint implants and fill holes in fractured bones. Biomet said it will introduce its Cobalt cement toward the end of 2005.
