Shepherd Awarded $1.4 Million for Male Contraceptive Clinical Trial

A Vancouver company has been awarded $1.4 million by NIH to conduct human clinical trials on a male contraceptive. The 18-month trial by Shepherd Medical will conduct semen analysis and study side effects of the Intra Vas Device, which is permanently implanted in the vas deferens of the penis to block sperm flow.
