Iraq to Introduce New Pricing System for Pharmaceuticals

According to Al-Sabaah newspaper, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that it is willing to soon impose a new system to price pharmaceuticals at the public pharmacies in the country in cooperation with the Pharmacists Association. According to the new system, each pharmacist is obliged to put a list of prices for all pharmaceutical products in his pharmacy. Pharmacies, which sell for prices higher than the determined process, will be subject to suspension for a certain period of time.
