BioMérieux Receives FDA Approval for VITEK 2 Compact

BioMérieux announced it has received FDA approval for commercial sales and marketing of the VITEK 2 Compact, an automated bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing system. Designed for small to mid-sized microbiology laboratories, the VITEK 2 Compact also brings an extensive ID and AST (Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing) database and improved laboratory efficiency.
