Boston Scientific Disputes Article on Medinol

Boston Scientific said it has not had any settlement discussions with Israeli stent maker Medinol, the company's former partner, contrary to an Israeli news report.

Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Boston Scientific has offered Medinol nearly $1 billion to end a dispute between the two companies.

"We have had no discussions with Medinol for quite some time regarding settlement of our disputes, and we have made no settlement offers of any kind or any amount," Boston Scientific spokesman Paul Donovan said in a statement. "In the last few days, the two parties have agreed to the selection of a mediator, but no negotiations have yet taken place."
