OSI Pharmaceuticals to Nearly Triple Staff

OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. is planning to nearly triple the size of its workforce over the next three years. The Melville, L.I.-based biotech firm is moving its headquarters to a 60,000-square-foot building, also in Melville, that was the former North American headquarters for Swissair. It will receive $600,000 from the Empire State Development Corp. to help it with the move, and has pledged to add 250 new jobs to its existing workforce of 160 over the next three years.
