Juvaris Enters Research Deal With AIDS Vaccine Group

Juvaris BioTherapeutics Inc. said Wednesday it signed a research agreement with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). The privately held Pleasanton biotech said the IAVI would use Juvaris' immunostimulant technology to test potential vaccines. Juvaris, founded in 2002, seeks immunotherapy drugs for use against infections and cancer. Its technology uses combinations of plasmids and antigens to boost the immune system to fight specific diseases.
