Dainippon, Kowa Conclude Business Transfer Agreement

Dainippon Pharmaceutical and Kowa announced that they have concluded an agreement on the upcoming transfer of Dainippon's over-the-counter (OTC) drug business to Kowa. Under the terms of the basic agreement reached by the two companies on January 27, Kowa will take over Dainippon's OTC drug seller subsidiary Marupi Drug as of June 1. Through this transfer, Kowa will strengthen its healthcare business while Dainippon aims to concentrate management resources on its ethical drug business.
